2026 TMEC Annual Conference: What Tasmanian Mining, Manufacturing and Energy Contractors Need to Know

The TMEC Annual Conference is Tasmania's flagship gathering for the minerals, manufacturing and energy sectors, run by the Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing & Energy Council (TMEC). It brings operators, processors, manufacturers, energy generators, government, regulators, service providers and contractors together to shape the state's resources agenda for the year ahead.

The 2026 conference runs Tuesday 4 August – Thursday 6 August 2026 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart. Three days on the Hobart waterfront covering keynotes, industry panels, sponsor exhibitions and networking events — including the traditional gala dinner.

TMEC members and attendees span Tasmania's biggest resource and industrial names — MMG Rosebery, Grange Resources, Nyrstar Hobart, Bell Bay Aluminium (Rio Tinto), Liberty Bell Bay, Norske Skog Boyer, Cement Australia Railton, Hydro Tasmania and TasNetworks — plus mid-tier miners, processors, exploration companies and the contractor base that keeps them running.
